2020
Hoopes Media Launched a solo social media agency during COVID. Learned everything about small business ownership the hard way — by living it.
2022
Real Estate Coaching Moved to Century 21 Signature Real Estate, training and coaching agents on marketing and personal brand. Learned how to educate without making people feel small.
2024
Agency Life Joined a Des Moines marketing agency. Worked with a team of five. Sharpened the craft and kept building.

From Small Town to Blast Radius
Hunter Hoopes didn't come up with a silver spoon. He came up with a camera, a skateboard, and an internet connection, which, honestly, is a better starting kit anyway.
Growing up in a small town, Hunter started making YouTube videos in sixth grade. Skateboarding edits. Prank videos. Nothing polished, but all of it real. That instinct to make something from nothing became the throughline of everything that followed.
He moved four times before graduating from high school. Grew up in a single-parent household. Went to school alongside kids from wildly different worlds, some whose families ran empires, others just getting by. Rather than resenting the gap, he learned from it. His mom had put him at the same table as everyone else. That perspective stuck.
He took a detour through law school, not out of passion, but out of default. It didn't last long. Marketing was the obvious answer once he stopped ignoring it.
During COVID, while most people were on pause, Hunter launched Hoopes Media, a one-person social media agency in Denver, CO. He wore every hat. Wrote the copy, shot the content, managed the accounts, sent the invoices, took the calls. That experience didn't just build skills. It built empathy, the real kind, for every small business owner who knows they need marketing help but doesn't have the time, budget, or bandwidth to figure it out.
From there: start-up experience, years coaching Century 21 real estate agents on marketing and personal brand, and then, the shot that proved the aim was right.
He and his friend Dusty co-founded Iowa Food Scene from zero. Fifty-eight followers. Their eighth video went viral. Eight thousand new followers in twenty-four hours. By video twenty, they had 20,000. No tricks. No ads. Just consistent, authentic content that people actually wanted to watch.
That's the Blunderbuss thesis in action: aim everywhere, make noise, and let the blast radius do the work.
Today, as CEO, Hunter brings all of it to the table: the solo hustle, the agency grind, the coaching instinct, and the proof that authentic content wins. Every time.
